Helina Griffiths

Helina is a Remedial Sports Massage therapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (currently in her final year of training) specializing in somatic embodiment and trauma-informed care. Her unique approach integrates the physical precision of sports massage with internal healing using mind-body dialogue. 

With a four-year background in Sensory Herbalism and an extensive career as a professional circus performer, Helina offers a multi-layered perspective on how emotions manifest in the body.

She focuses on the body-land connection, guiding clients through their internal landscapes to achieve deep functional recovery and embodied freedom.

    I offer person centred one-to-one, confidential sessions with dedicated time to get to know you as an individual. We’ll explore your lifestyle, stress levels, and health history to build a clear understanding of what you may need. from the session. This personalised approach ensures that each treatment is tailored to your specific needs, supporting not just symptom relief, but your overall wellbeing and long-term recovery

    Postural assessment is a key part of how I understand how your body functions as a whole. I identify areas of strain or compensation through the joints and soft tissues. Tension and emotional stress can be held in the body and reflected in posture—such as guarding, bracing, or habitual patterns that develop over time. This allows me to address not just the physical mechanics, but the underlying drivers of tension, helping to restore more efficient, supported, and resilient movement.

    I use a range of advanced techniques to directly influence how your muscles and connective tissues communicate and function. Working into the deeper layers of muscle and targeting the fascial network, helps to ease restrictions, improve hydration of the tissues, and restore natural movement and connectivity, while gentle, active contractions reset muscle length, improve joint mobility, and reduce imbalance; restoring clear communication between the nervous system and muscles.

    I create a safe, trauma-informed space that supports the deep connection between mind, body and nervous system. I gently support the process of nervous system integration by using breathing techniques and mind-body dialogue, each session creates space for awareness to grow, allowing physical sensations and emotional experiences to be safely acknowledged and integrated.
